In addition to improving your skill set, Autodesk Certifications provide the following advantages: 

  • Enhanced Skills and Recognition:

 Autodesk Certification provides validation of your skills and knowledge, along with industry recognition of your achievements 

Once certified, you receive access to an electronic certificate suitable for printing and framing. You may reprint this certificate as often as you like. Your certificate is available anytime through your Autodesk Online system profile

After passing the certification exam, you receive the official Autodesk Certification logo that can be used on business cards,  resume and letterhead, identifying you as Autodesk Certified. Your logo kit is available through your Autodesk Online system profile. 

  • Immediate Diagnostic Feedback:  

Whether you pass the exam or not, you receive immediate feedback on areas to improve your Autodesk application skills. Your score report with feedback is available at any time through your Autodesk Online system profile. 

  • Listing on Autodesk in the Certified Users Database:  

Once certified, you can choose to have your contact information and certifications listed in Autodesk?s public database. This is an excellent way to immediately demonstrate your certification status to prospective employers.

Performance-Based Testing:

Proving Your Experience Autodesk Professional Certification exams are performance-based (testing by performing). Rather than simply answering questions about how you might accomplish a task, you actually perform the task using the Autodesk application. Performance-based testing is widely accepted as a better way of ensuring that you have the skills needed for the application. Logos can be used by candidates who successfully complete the certification exams.

LEVELS OF CERTIFICATION:

Autodesk has a scalable certification ladder for each product vertical, where a candidate moves from and Entry Level to and Expert level in any of the desired products. Autodesk currently has testing and certification for the following products:

  • AutoCAD®
  • AutoCAD®Architecture
  • Autodesk®Inventor®
  • AutoCAD® Civil 3D®
  • Revit®Architecture
  • 3DS Max Design

The 3 levels of Certifications are:

1. The Autodesk Certified Associate Certificate (entry level)

Duration: 90 mins

Type: multiple choice questions

Syllabus: based on Essentials Level Courseware

2. The Autodesk Certified Professional Certificate

Duration: 90 minutes,

Type: 20 items, performance based exam using software Practice test available

3. The Autodesk Certified Expert Certificate

Type: Performance based exam using software

Exam content: 15 specialized questions/exercises for specific jobs (e.g. Sheet metal)

Most prestigious and sought after design certification and the highest reward from Autodesk, earns a specialized certification recognition

Where to begin and how to go about it?

To attain an Autodesk Certification, you must pass an Autodesk Certification exam or a series of exams and follow some simple steps. Step through each of these areas to help ensure your success:

Step 1. Choose the Certification that is right for you: Choose the level and the Autodesk application that best meets the skills you require. Learn what to expect by reviewing the exam guide detailing the skills you'll need.

Step 2. Assess your readiness:

Take an assessment test to assess your knowledge of the product and then take a practice test for the Professional-level exams. New for 2009 products, these practice tests simulate the actual performance-based test and will give you a good indication of your readiness.

Step 3. Get the training you need:

Use AOTC courseware, or take classes at an Autodesk Authorized Training Center (ATC) site.

Step 4. Apply your training and practice your skills:

Practice what you've learned to gain experience.

Step 5. Take the required exam:

Register and take your exam at an Autodesk Certification Center.
